The Ontario Secondary School Teachers` Federation (OSSTF) has announced that another one-day walk in some Ontario school boards will take place on Wednesday, January 15, if no agreement is reached. It is important to note that this Walkout has no effect on TDSB. OSSTF has informed OPSBA and the Ontario government that they are requesting a non-board report for OSSTF Education Workers. This means that OSSTF Education Workers will be in a legal strike position 17 days after the No-Board report is issued if there is no agreement on a new contract. A preliminary agreement has been reached with CUPE on a new contract and we hope that a new contract can be negotiated with OSSTF and all other school management groups. The Ontario Public School Boards Association (OPSBA) and the Ontario government have reached a preliminary agreement with the Federation of Secondary Education Teachers (OSSTF) at centralized bargaining tables for casual teachers and teaching workers.
